The Pigeon Cove Fire Company “Reliant No. 2”, Rockport, Mass. took delivery in September of 2009  a Spartan Metro Star chassis with a Cummins ISL 370hp engine. The Pigeon Cove firehouse was built in the 1880’s, and presented a huge challenge because of the extremely limited space with an 8’ 6” door.  4-GUYS was able to work with Spartan to get a Metro Star chassis with an extra low profile.  The body is 96” in height and the light bar was custom built and installed by 4-GUYS, utilizing Whelen flashers and incorporating marker lights into the design.  The pumper fits into the station with about 2 inches to spare overhead, and the officer cannot enter the vehicle until it is pulled onto the apron.

Engine 2 features a Waterous CSC10C 1500 GPM pump, 500 gallons of water with a 20 gallon integral foam tank and a FoamPro 2002.  The all stainless body has 3/4 height right side compartments, suction hose compartment through the tank, standard ladder rack and roll up doors. The Kussmaul Pump Plus system has an auto-eject connection out the rear of the unit (due to space constraints) and the bell from the 1971 Maxim that was the previous engine was shipped to the factory and mounted by 4-GUYS.

The all stainless body, sub-frame and pump house is covered by4-GUYS “Best in the industry” 20 year warranty.  The paint carries a 10 year warranty and the entire vehicle is covered by  “Sole Source Warranty Coverage” provided by Granite Fire Apparatus, Inc.
